The Chinese Banyan inseminated itself on the roof of the old central bus station.

It found itself there with refugees from their own societies living underneath.

The Chinese Banyan inseminated itself. Conditions were good. And it has its own way to keep growing on the station’s roof.

The building is destined to house art studies.

I plant to map the location of the tree’s roots that are apparently interwoven in the walls.

I want to follow its manner of growth, sources of energy, and the passageways of its roots.

I want to try preserving it and enable its further life while being interlaced in the building.

פיקוס השדרות הזריע עצמו על גג התחנה המרכזית הישנה.

הוא נקלע נפלט לחיות שם כשמתחתיו חיים

פליטים ואזרחים שהפכו לפליטים  של החברה בה הם חיים.

הפיקוס הזריע עצמו. היו לו תנאים. ויש לו דרך משלו להמשיך ולצמוח על גג התחנה.

הבניין מיועד להיות מבנה ללימודי אמנות.

כוונתי לעקוב ולמפות  את התמקמות שורשי העץ המתפתלים  באוויר ובתוך קירות הבניין,

להתחקות על דרך הצמיחה שלו, מקורות האנרגיה שלו, מעברי השורשים. באופן זה  ללוות את צמיחת העץ  ולנסות לשמר אותו

ולאפשר את המשך חייו תוך שהוא מוכל במבנה  החדש עצמו.
